ABOUT

I have worked in the fitness industry for over 22 years and have gained a broad range of qualifications and experience in teaching classes-everything from  Spinning and Pilates to niche sessions like hula hoop and Boxercise!

I initially gained my Exercise to Music qualification so that it would bring in an income whilst I studied for my first degree, this led me to working in and around health clubs in London before my return to the Carlisle area (many moons ago!!).
Over the years I have worked in multiple health clubs in and around Carlisle and held positions ranging from gym instructor up to Manager.

As I have always had a interest in rehabilitation and making exercise fully inclusive I also studied for my second degree to qualify as a Chartered Physiotherapist over a decade ago. This knowledge coupled with my love of Pilates and Yoga has enabled me to deliver classes that are suitable for all levels of participant and also take into account individual needs throughout the class.

I understand how hard it can be to try to exercise through pain and health issues as I myself was involved in a serious accident some years ago which led to a long road to recovery. I can remember the difficulties I faced and as such I want everyone in my sessions to know that its not about trying to do the hardest option, its about doing the option that's right for you on that day.

Working at a level you can manage and progressing at a rate that's manageable for your body.

If you are unsure if Pilates/Yoga is right for you, or have any health issues/pregnancies please call me on 07853156019 to discuss.
